“Un monde nouveau” was the theme of the 2018 edition of La Folle Journée Festival in Japan. New worlds were searched by the composers whose musics our Orchestra played at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre and Tokyo International Forum. From Russia, Austria and Hungary to the United States or from Romania to France, composers such as Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Dvořák, Korngold, Bartók and Enescu left their homelands to either find international recognition or to have the privilege to be free. Our guide for this trip overseas, conductor Kaspar Zehnder.
